At Bespoke Treatment, we offer a variety of programs and services that are included in a personalized treatment plan to suit each individual patient. We create a plan that addresses your goals and the level of care you need. One of our popular programs is the intensive outpatient program, or IOP.
What is IOP?
An intensive outpatient program is a healthcare program that offers a considerable amount of structure without a residential component. In other words, a schedule is created to provide intensive treatment for many hours per week, but the patient still resides at home. Typically an IOP features daily appointments or near-daily appointments, but no overnight stays are required. This allows patients to continue their day-to-day lives while receiving structured mental health treatment.
The IOPs we offer at Bespoke Treatment are highly effective for individuals with depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and ADHD. The program combines multiple therapies and treatment methods to deliver long-term changes and lasting relief. Rather than treating symptoms, we create a personalized plan that treats the whole individual and uses the power of synergistic therapies. Intensive outpatient programs are sometimes used in conjunction with inpatient programs, as a way to help the patient transition back into independent life. This transition can help establish support mechanisms and provide coping strategies.
Who benefits from IOP?
Intensive outpatient programs are ideal for patients who want a structured level of care while residing at home. Of course, an IOP is recommended only for individuals who have a stable and supportive home environment.
Sometimes, individuals want a certain level of care or require a structured schedule, but daily responsibilities and commitments like work can make an inpatient program unfeasible. Most people can’t simply leave their lives behind for an extended time. For people who want a structured treatment program but aren’t able to commit to a residential program, IOPs offer a fantastic alternative.
What makes the IOP at Bespoke Treatment unique?
The IOP offered here is slightly different from a standard IOP in a couple key ways. Many typical outpatient programs require a more rigid schedule in which patients must come in at certain times of the day and certain days of the week. AT Bespoke Treatment, we work with you to create a schedule that fits your daily life. While the program will still offer intensive care, the specific schedule can be altered to accommodate your existing commitments. This makes the program even more accessible for individuals with intense work or life schedules.
Our IOP is also unique because we utilize drug-free alternative therapies. Our clinic specializes in alternative treatments such as ketamine assisted therapy, TMS, and neurofeedback. Moving beyond traditional medicinal psychiatry methods, an IOP can include any of these drug-free options, in addition to a wide range of standard therapy approaches such as CBT, meditation, and group therapy.
What treatments are included in an IOP?
At Bespoke Treatment, your IOP may include any combination of the following treatments:
- Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
- Ketamine Assisted Therapy / Spravato
- Neurofeedback and Biofeedback
- EMDR Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- MBSR Therapy
- Group Therapy
